This is a new area for the company where we are drawing on our saleroom managers life long interest in classic cars and motorcycles.
Durring his time working for Bonhams, Andrew sourced many interesting vehicles including a collection of cars that realised just over £5 million. He was also the auctioneer for automoblia at the companies flagship motorcycle auctions at Stafford and has taken charity auctions at the TT Riders association annual dinner at the Birmingham motorcycle Museum.
We have great ambitions for this area of our auction department and have received excellent feedback from vendors, buyers and viewers at our three auction so far. There is a gap in the market in the East Yorkshire area and we have set our target on becoming the leading North of England auctioneer in this field. Our first auction of 2017 was held at a new venue at Sledmere house which is a convenient location for interested parties to attend due to its central location within the region.
We have had some
wonderful contrasts in the car sections from the 1925 Crossley 13/30 V screen saloon realising £30,900 to the barn find 1967 Wolsey 100/6 that soared above its presale estimate eventually selling to a collector from the South Coast for £7,260.
Please contact Andrew Spicer if you have a Classic Car that you are thinking of selling.
